The county houses many museums: coins, vintage cars, film and television technology, and the history of the Vasa ski race are just a few of their themes.
Handicrafts and woodworking are popular occupations. Our most famous product is still the Dala horse, which is manufactured in the village of Nusnäs in the municipality of Mora. The county also boasts such attractions as the Sätergläntan handicraft and folk art centre, which offers courses and exhibits each summer.
